About Little Cowrie Publishing
Little Cowrie Publishing was founded in 2013 by Lyn Callaghan, his daughter Sarah Lockett and her husband Jon Lockett. Lyn and Sarah are both journalists and authors, Jon runs his own creative business. They set up Little Cowrie because both Lyn and Sarah have written great stories they wanted to share and, with Jon's publishing and printing knowledge, they are able to see the whole process through from concept to print.
'Little Cowrie Publishing' is named after the beautiful, tiny shells that can be found on the local beaches in North Devon – if you know where to look.

Lyn Callaghan
AUTHOR & PUBLISHER
Lyn Callaghan is a journalist and author. Formerly a sports writer and sub-editor for The Mail on Sunday and the Daily Mail, he also worked on the Birmingham Post, the Solihull News and Central Television newsdesk.
Lyn had been coming to North Devon on holiday for many years, first as a boy, then as a father and eventually as a grandfather before moving down with his wife, Jill, in 2002.
He still writes for the local papers and also fills his time as Press Officer for the Appledore Book Fesitval.
A Killer's Coat Tale is Lyn's second novel and is the sequel to his first novel Sun Trap, reuniting us with his reluctant hero, Jack Francis.

It was during one particular road trip to South Dakota that Sarah found the inspiration for her first book, Howl!.This exciting story about a pack of wolves is set in the North American wilderness and is perfect for children and adults alike.
In 2010 Sarah realised her lifelong ambition and moved to North Devon.
While she was in America she also discovered a love of painting and when she isn't writing or working at the local primary school she can be found at her easel painting wonderful seascapes of the North Devon coast. You can see her paintings at sarahlockett.net

Jon Lockett
CREATIVE DIRECTOR & PUBLISHER
Jon Lockett is Sarah's husband and Lyn's son-in-law. He likes to think of himself as the true brains behind the operation, but basically he makes everything work and look nice too.
He isn't a writer, he is a designer and met Sarah when they both worked at IPC Magazines in London in 1990. He spent ten years working on magazines before moving to the Midlands to become Creative Director for a well-known American clothing company. The American executives liked what he was doing so much they asked him to go the USA and lead up the design and photography there, too. Jon, Sarah and their three children spent four amazing years in Wisconsin before moving back to the UK in 2007.
Jon spent several more years working as a Creative Director and Marketing Manager for various catalogue companies before setting up his own business, imaginatively called Jonathan Lockett Creative, in 2013.
If you are an author or publisher looking for a book jacket design, get in touch with Jon, he'd love to help.
